It’s a trend for couples nowadays to have a destination wedding. When Meghan and Brett asked us to plan their entire weekend wedding in Fortress Hvar, we were thrilled to go above and beyond in designing a memorable multi-day celebration. They wanted to create an incredible weekend for all their guests who traveled to witness them tie the knot.
After postponing their big day twice due to the pandemic, they were determined to make the most of it. A three-day, fun-filled celebration made it even more remarkable!
Pre-Wedding Fun: A Relaxing Boat Trip Around Pakleni Island
The celebrations began a day before the actual ceremony with a boat trip around Pakleni Island. This was a perfect way to help everyone relax before the big event at Fortress Hvar. The boat trip was followed by cocktails at the Topbar at Hotel Adrianna, where guests enjoyed canapés, a Gin & Vodka station, and live music, all while listening to heartfelt speeches.
The Ceremony: A Church Wedding in Hvar
The couple united in holy matrimony at St. Stephan Cathedral, a historic venue in Croatia. The classic yet modern theme for their reception, envisioned by the bride, was brought to life with luxurious floral arrangements in green and white. Their reception took place at the Spanish fortress in Hvar, which has a stunning rooftop perfect for cocktail parties — an element the couple truly loved.
Ending the Weekend with a BBQ Party
To wrap up their multi-day celebration, Meghan and Brett hosted a fantastic BBQ party at their villa on the third day. It was the perfect way to end a weekend full of joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
