It’s the most important day of you life (so far), and you want to cherish it. You have a vision (or maybe not) of the perfect day, but the details needed to be ironed out, handled. You want someone who can rule with an iron fist, but has the calmness of a zen master and the approachability of a long-lost family member. Look, we get it… because we were just there. To add complexity, one of us was Croatian and we hoped to integrate traditional Croatian elements into our wedding while riding the line of elegant, classic, but also natural. Admittedly, we might be one of those couples with the widest ranges of needs—one of us is detail-oriented, classic and had a clear vision of elegance and timelessness, while the other was particular in certain areas and cared more for a feeling of openness. Tamara handled the wedding, and us, beautifully. We could not be a greater endorsement of Tamara Shakatova and Adriatic Weddings. She balanced all of our needs beautiful, which gave us the time and energy to be present on our special day. We were her first wedding where it actually rained on the morning of our wedding! Fortunately, the rain subsided, but not before Tamara was able to get an approval from the Croatian government to crane-lift a tent into a UNESCO heritage site. She was able to coordinate on our behalf all vendors, and when we had issues with prices or payments, she handled our requests with professionalism— addressing concerns, gaining clarity, and providing options along the way. Most importantly about Tamara and Adriatic wedding is the communication. Weddings are joyous times, but they are also an event that takes logistics, plannings and money; all three of the aforementioned require clear and proactive communication. Tamara did this extremely well and we never felt like she “left us in the dark.” If you’re looking to get married in Hvar or anywhere with difficult logistics in Croatia, go with Tamara and consider most of her vendors, too. It’s alway best to work with the teams that your planner has experience with. The owner of the event will see these vendors perfect or have error with their craft over time. Tamara will give you the real feedback you deserve, but is also open to you engaging additional resources. She is a true professional, and you’ll leave your special day grateful for not only for the day itself but the journey it takes to get there. Thank you, Hvala Puno, Tamara.
