The last wedding of season 2023 was one we will remember forever: the absolute dream wedding of Joan and Mark, at the Palace Elisabeth Heritage Hotel. It was a stunning day, very warm for October, and there was not a cloud in the sky; appropriate for Hvar as its nickname is the Sunny island.
The ceremony and reception took place on the expansive Palace Elisabeth terrace, with cocktails by the pool in between. This gave our team the right amount of time to transform the place where the beautiful ceremony was held to the area where we'll hold the reception and party - a most impressive challenge.
Everyone was amazed once Joan walked into the ceremony with her bridesmaids in dresses that matched the theme. She was accompanied also by the sounds of an electric violin and the sun still shining on the terrace, the sun and all the guests. After the ceremony, refreshments were served by the pool and guests enjoyed exquisite canapes.
During that time we worked on transforming the terrace from ceremony to reception, together with the brilliant Showroom Design: we connected the S-shaped tables which were separated to create an aisle for Joan, we moved around the poufs and added chairs, added everything needed for a seamless dinner, as well as more florals. From what was previously a confetti bar where each guest could create their own cone, we now had a reception welcome sign with beautiful lanterns and candles ready for the fresh evening.
After dinner, everyone enjoyed a night of dancing and singing, which then culminated in an amazing fireworks display in front of the Hvar harbour, in honour of Joan and Mark's day. Cheers of happiness were heard from all sides of the island - and we truly felt like the whole city was celebrating with us. It was an incredible end to the season!
